On October 26th, (THEWILL)-Ashanti Gold of the Ghana Premier League and Nigerian sportswear company OWU signed a jersey sponsorship agreement for the 2021/22 season.

OWU is one of Nigeria's top sports goods manufacturers. In 2019, they are the official jersey partner of the country's national handball team, providing them with jerseys and other items for all games.

The miners announced the news on their Facebook page: "We are pleased to announce an agreement with Owu as our new equipment sponsor."

The Miners and Jimmel were once the club’s shirt sponsors last season, but the two sides have parted ways.

OWU also plans to provide Ashgold with new sports jerseys, training kits, sportswear, bibs and other football clothing, and can choose to expand based only on marketing conditions.

In the first game of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season, Ashantikin will face the Techiman Eleven Wonders team.
