STEELE, N.D. — It was no mystery who the Central McLean volleyball team should have covered Thursday night.

The Cougars did their best but there was no slowing down Kennedy Harter.

Harter's 38 kills paced a 3-2 Kidder County win to move the Wolves to 15-11-1 overall. Kidder County will travel to Wishek on Tuesday to take on South Border. First serve is set for 7:30 p.m.

While Harter was dominating the offense, Avery Rath was anchoring the defense. Rath produced 50 digs. Harter tacked on 33 and Kylee Rohrich posted 28 digs. No members of the Wolves' roster had less than 11 digs.

LaMoure/LM overcame a slow start to grab a 3-1 victory over South Border Thursday.

The Loboes are still on top of the Region 3, District 5 standings at 4-0 overall. In Region 3, LLM is sitting at 5-2 while overall they are 18-9. LLM will host Griggs-Midkota on Oct. 14. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. South Border will host Kidder County on Tuesday.

Lexi Linebaugh led the Loboes with three aces delivered from the back line. In total, LLM earned eight aces. South Border couldn't get any serves past the LLM defense.

Most of the Mustangs' points came from Emily Jochim who pounded 17 balls past Cassie Quinlan the LLM's back row.

It was a quick and easy one for the Medina/PB volleyball team Thursday.

MPB defeated Barnes County North 25-15, 25-14, 25-12 to move to 14-7.

Allison Thomas and Maddie Gefroh partnered to produce 21 kills to lead the Thunders' offense. Alaina Bosche, Brynn Sorenson and Thomas all tabulated double-digit dig totals to lead the defensive efforts. Sorenson also notched four of the team's 10 aces.

MPB will be at Stasburg/Zeeland on Tuesday. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m.
