Like the football show earlier this month, the Utah men’s and women’s basketball teams will wear alternating uniforms this season, inspired by the USS Salt Lake City, a heavy cruiser that was better than the Pacific Fleet’s during the World War. Any other ship fought more battles in World War II.

The dark gray Under Armour uniform features black numbers and white outlines, and there are dazzling camouflage patterns on the chest and the wordmarks on the sides of the jersey and shorts. The pattern was drawn from the port and starboard sides of the ship.

There is a battle star under the back collar, and the "Salt Lake City" is visible under the back of the men's jersey. At the same time, women have ship names below the numbers.

Both uniforms have the words "One Ship Fleet" printed on the inside of the collars to pay tribute to the efforts of the USS Salt Lake City aircraft carrier in the Dolittle airstrikes and Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima and Okinawa, as well as Utes The sign on the left leg of the "U" of the No. Interlock tied the university to the ship.

Utah has not announced when its men's and women's basketball teams will wear uniforms inspired by the Salt Lake City.
